The preparation

The preparation of the salad takes just under 20 minutes. Start by washing and thinly slicing the cabbage and peeling and grating the carrots. You can then mix these two ingredients together and add the dressing. Mix the honey, mustard, macadamia nut oil, vinegar, lemon juice, pepper and salt to make a homogeneous dressing. Leave the salad to stand for at least 15 minutes.

In the meantime, fry the macadamia nuts in a little butter and cut the pears into thin slices. Add these two ingredients to the salad together with the thyme.

And the delicious starter is ready and you can enjoy it with your guests. Enjoy your meal!

Macadamia nut oil and its other uses

High-quality, cold-pressed, 100% pure and unfiltered macadamia nut oil is a must-have in every kitchen. It is suitable for both hot and cold dishes and can be combined in many ways due to its mild taste. Due to the gentle production process, the nutrients it contains are not lost. So the oil brings not only pleasure but also health benefits. For example, the oil extracted from the macadamia nut contains iron, magnesium, calcium and potassium. It also contains valuable fatty acids. In this way, the oil can prevent high blood pressure, cholesterol and dilatation of the heart vessels. Therefore, it is worthwhile to include macadamia nut oil in one’s diet.

In addition to the recipe presented here, macadamia nut oil can be used for many other types of salads. It can also be used as a vegan butter substitute for baking or pancakes. There are no limits to your imagination.
